Justin L. Templin joined the Firm in 2002. His diverse practice includes acting as the City Attorney for the City of Maple Grove, attending official meetings and advising staff, departments, and officials on a range of matters including contracts, ordinance interpretation and enforcement, data practices, land use and zoning issues, and complex property acquisitions.
Mr. Templin represents Minnesota cities through the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust in the litigation and dispute resolution of complex land use and constitutional matters, including several notable appellate cases.
Mr. Templin has successfully managed multi-million-dollar procurement projects as special counsel on behalf of city governments, and has significant experience in negotiating complex contracts. He is a frequent speaker on land use and development for continuing legal education and professional development organizations, and he has extensive experience conducting training on data practices, the Open Meeting Law, and ethics matters.
Mr. Templin brings his variety of experience to the table as a Minn. R. Gen P. 114 qualified neutral, serving as a mediator and hearing officer.
Mr. Templin taught legal research and writing at the University of Minnesota Law School for 18 years.
